In order to truly highlight the beauty of this exclusive release, I decided to stamp these snowflakes in silhouette against a glowing blue background. I started out by brushing on some dark blue ink on a piece of lighter blue card stock in a vignette. I then stamped out the snowflakes for a background all over the panel in the same dark blue ink.

Next, I used the coordinating Confetti Cuts to cut out some snowflakes from the lighter blue card stock. I created a narrow belly band with a white sentiment from the stamp set, “Warm Wishes.” I popped it up on the front of the card panel finished it off by adding some of the snowflake die cuts to the front of the panel.

Reverse Confetti Warm Hugs Card

Hey Artie! Great to have you on the blog today. I want to share a card with you that highlights this month’s Reverse Confetti release. I saw Ilina Crouse do a vertical set up the same way, so I cased her card.

ThankfulSale.png

This layering look is out of my regular style, as are the cute images, but I really liked this set up.

I colored the kitties with warm grays from Copic. I die cut them with the coordinating die and adhered them to an angled panel I had embossed with the Stitched Burst Cover Panel. Then, I stacked 4 Warm Hugs die cuts and colored them blue-green. To finish off the card, I added some blue-green sequins. And I’m thrilled with the result.

Reverse Confetti November Release Day Blog Hop

Hey there Artie! Welcome to the November release blog hop for Reverse Confetti It has been a fun week of sneak peeks and we have finally arrived at the release day. Everything is live now at the links below!

I have a cute set of birds and a fantastic stitched cover panel today for you at Del & Artie. I’m visiting my mom in Missouri and had to photograph today’s card using a different background. But the card made me smile, so I think it’ll be ok!

For this project, I used these Items from the release:

RevConf 201911 Birds.jpg

I stamped out the birds on a piece of cardstock and colored a bunch of them in. I picked the three I liked best for the project and die cut them out. Next I colored them in with Copic markers to match the paper. I used the cover plate die to make a panel of with the burst design. Then i stacked it on top of some patterned paper from this month’s release. Finally, I adhered it all to the front of an A2-sized card base!

Visit the Reverse Confetti Facebook page for a giveaway.

Thank you for joining me today! I hope you will take a few moments to see all the beautiful projects my friends created for this hop and release. You will find links to their blogs below!

Reverse Confetti November Release Day 2

Hey there Artie!!! I have the privilege of sharing the Reverse Confetti November 2019 release with you this week at Del & Artie. And you are in for quite a treat across the entire blog hop, too. WOW!! The products are gorgeous and the designs I have seen really showcase them beautifully.

These will be available for purchase on November 8th.

For this project, I used the Huggable Stamps and coordinating dies! These cute little foxes (they could be skunks if you color them differently) I stamped and colored in with Copic markers. I scored the small panel with a bone folder for some interest. Next, I laid down a piece blue-violet gingham patterned paper from the Winter Wonder paper pack. Then, I popped them up on some dimensional adhesive finished with a sentiment from the Huggable Stamp Set.

Reverse Confetti November Release Day 3

Hey there Artie!!! These Reverse Confetti November 2019 release peeks have been fantastic across the hop!!! I hope you enjoy them, too! The products are gorgeous and the designs I have seen really showcase them beautifully. These will be available for purchase on November 8th.

For this project, I used the Thank You dies and the sprigs from the Beautiful Memories Stamps! This unique die combo has a thicker shadow than others I have seen. I stamped and embossed the sprigs on some blue raspberry cardstock with clear embossing powder. Then, I blended a vignette of blue ink around the edges. I die cut the shadow out of white cardstock and the letters out of blue raspberry. To finish off the card, I popped up the letters on some foam tape and added some fortune teller stones on the front.

1 Glitter Lacquer Pen

Card #1 Twas the Night Before Christmas

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there…

The first card, inspired by the still of Christmas Eve, features the door die cut in half to create a fire place with stockings a tree and two pups. You can actually get two fire places out of one die cut with this door die. Just flip the bottom up and voila!

I used Copic markers to color in this card and die cut all the images, popping them up on foam tape. The sentiment comes from the kit and I fussy cut it. I backed the panel with some Hero Arts Azalea cardstock

HA cut door.jpeg

Card #2

For my second card, I used the door die to create a card panel, and then I colored it in with Copic markers. The wreath and potted plants come in the kit, too!! This die can be used to decorate gift bags, too, but it works perfectly for cards.

HA front door.jpeg

Card #3

For my third card, I did some masking, so that the panel is just one layer. I started by stamping the ribbon down the staircase. Then the staircase behind it and the tree behind the staircase. Next, I stamped the pup and rug, and the chair image behind it. Afterward, I used my Scor Buddy and a bone folder to create the look of a paneled wall behind it all.

HA Inside.jpeg

Card #4

For my last card, I did some repeat stamping with the grandfather clock image on some Neenah Desert Storm cardstock. Then, I stamped and die cut the chair and mouse images with the same paper and popped them up on some foam tape. The sentiment goes perfectly with the clocks background.

5 Things I Learned from a Hero Arts Card Class

Hey there Artie! So good to have you with me on the blog, today. For World Card Making Day (WCMD), I took my wife Paula to an all day event with Libby Hickson aka StampinLibby, aka, the Libster of Hero Arts fame.

Besides the 8 fun cards, I have 5 takeaways I want to share with you about taking this class.

1. A lot of went into this class.

  • Let me say that the Libster is no slouch! She had the entire class working like a well-oiled machine! All the card elements were perfectly packaged and complete. Name tags were handmade die-cuts colored and adhered to pins. A little goodie bag with chocolate and a sequin mix came with the class. She had to have spent a good amount of time die cutting, trimming, and putting everything in cellophane envelopes so that the students could create eight cards in about 5 hours.
