Hello there, Artie! I wanted to drop by and share one of my cards from the Ellen Hutson August release with you. Ellen filled this release with camping fun and adventure and I’d hate for you to miss it.
Watch me walk through the August release here on my YouTube channel! I also walk you through the creation of this card.
Tip: To create a ton of these cards, you can stamp and die cut all the elements from the stamp and die sets beforehand and they will be ready to assemble!
Tip: Switch out the inks on the two halves of the camper for a bit of a twist. Just use a strip of adjustable tape to mask it off when you stamp each color.
Steps to create this card
Stamp and die cut the many images in the Happy Trails and Happy Trails More sets with your favorite inks. I used Catherine Pooler’s Juniper Mist, Apricot, Spruce, & Green Tea, and Concord & 9th’s Stardust & Ballet Slipper Inks.
Next, create a background on an A2-sized card using the large stamp with tiny stars from the Starry Skies Stamp Set all over. This gives the feel of stars and/or burning embers from your campfire.
Then, arrange the elements around the scene with foam tape and liquid adhesive.
Finally, stamp the sentiment using an acrylic block and a juicy ink pad.
Thank you for joining me for this super fun camping theme card! I love the color palette and the masculine feel of this release. There are so many more things to see from August. Keep your eyes peeled for all the inspiration.

Below you will find a grid of supplies I used for this project. They are linked to Ellen’s store. You’ll discover Ellen Hutson has super fast shipping and fantastic quality. All her dies come on magnetic sheets and every stamp set and die set come in a thick plastic storage sleeve. You’ll fall in love with shopping from this amazing company. I did!!
Big hugs,
Daniel
