Hey Artie!! Hero Arts and the new 2021 Holiday Catalog are coming to you today via a huge blog hop. You must have seen some of the previews on the HA blog and instagram this week, but you haven’t seen what all of my friends and I have done with the newest items in this catalog.
Be sure to leave a comment on each stop in this hop for a chance to win one of three $50 shopping sprees to heroarts.com.
Card #1 Looking Glass Snowflakes Card
To create this card…
First, I die cut the Looking Glass Ornaments three times each piece — once on the front of the card base and twice out of A2 panels. One of the panels is Coral Cardstock the rest is Dove White Cardstock
Then, I layered them with Precision Glue.
Next, I created a sentiment strip with Pitch Black Cardstock, White Detail Embossing Powder, Clear Embossing and Watermark Ink and a sentiment from the Christmas Holidays Stamp & Cut XL.
Then, I popped it up on the front of the card with foam tape.
Finally, I added some Sparkle Lacquer Pen to some of the snowflakes for some bling!! (cue applause).
Card #2 Stencil Me Some Cozy
To create this card, I stenciled the Poinsettia Pattern Stencil over some Cherry Cardstock with Unicorn White Pigment Ink. This stencil layers, so you turn it a few times to get the look you want.
Next, I trimmed my panel down a 1/4” on all sides and popped it up on the front of a Sand Side-Folding Card with foam tape.
Then, I added some accents to the front with a white gel pen.
Next, I created a sentiment strip with Pitch Black Cardstock, White Detail Embossing Powder, Clear Embossing and Watermark Ink and a sentiment from the Christmas Holidays Stamp & Cut XL.
To finish off the card, I popped up the sentiment on foam tape and added some Icicle Sequins to the front with Precision Glue.
Card #3 Looking Glass Ornaments Card
For my third card, I used the DI883 Looking Glass Ornaments to create a CAS card.
First, I die cut thee three windows out of Dove White Cardstock using each of the Looking Glass Ornaments dies.
Then, I heat embossed the ornaments in Gold Glitter and Silver Sparkle Embossing Powders.
Next, I stacked the panels with Precision Glue and backed them all with a piece of Pitch Black Cardstock.
Finally, I stamped a sentiment from the Merry Snowmen Stamp Set on the front with Intense Black Ink.
I have several other cards I created with this release. Stay tuned to the blog for more from the catalog. You can also keep an eye on my Instagram grid here: instagram.com/delandartie.
