Hey there, Arties! I’m back with another beauty from Picket Fence Studios! The July 2021 collection includes some spooky and monster themed dies and stamps. I have a few projects to share with you based on these Halloween goodies, too. Today, for all of you who enjoy the creepy crawlies — Marching Spiders take center stage.
Card #1 — Arachnophobia
Steps To Create This Card
First, I created an A2-sized card base with white cardstock but cutting an 8.5” x 11” sheet in half long ways and scoring one piece in half.
Then, I stamped the Marching Spiders stamp near the top of the front panel with Black Hybrid Ink and Heat Embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder.
Then, with washi tape, I masked off the edges of the front flap and added some Grape Juice Ink over the spiders with a Life-changing Blender Brush.
Next, I die cut the Halloween Graveyard Cover Plate Die out twice, stacked the pieces with Bearly Art Glue, and trimmed the bottom section off with my Tim Holtz Trimmer.
Then, I glued the graveyard to the front of the card base.
After that, I created a belly-band sentiment strip with a stamp from the You Creep Me Out stamp set. I stamped it out on Pitch Black Cardstock with Clear Embossing and Watermark Ink and melted White Detail Embossing Powder over it.
Then, i added it to the front of the card just under the graveyard.
For some shimmer and shine, I added some Paper Glitz - Sparkle to the graveyard with bit of foam, and some Frankie Comes to Town Sequin Mix with Bearly Art Glue.
