Ideal for ages 6-12 and up (and of course adults who still feel like kids)! Crafting is a great way to teach creative play, get to know colors and color properties, inspire imagination, and much more. Non-toxic and child-safe Inks are not ideal for kids 5 and younger as they can stain clothing and may require multiple washes if they get on skin.

This Monster Kit is geared towards the little monsters, but what about the big monsters who help them color? (Or who just like to color and need an excuse to grab a new fab kit under cover of “It’s for the grandkids!”)

I decided to color in the sheet just for coloring sake! It was super fun to create a night time scene with a moon backlighting everything.

I started the coloring by adding the moonlit background behind the trees with BV Copics. Then, I added shadows everywhere based on where I thought they would fall, using a BV23.

Next, i added color all over the place. This project was truly a learning project for me, as I am just hearing about UNDERPAINTING and BACKLIGHTING. I hope you’ll see my coloring drastically improve over the coming months as I grow.
