Surface Inks Funny Easter Card

Hello! Welcome to my Surface Inks Blog Hop Post for the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team. I have a humorous Easter Card for you today based on a funny chocolate bunny meme from the web. I used the Stamp of the Month set, which includes a chocolate bunny and a marshmallow bunny to recreate the little funny post.

Step by Step Instructions:

  1. Stamp out the bunnies on a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock using Maple Surface Ink.

  2. Smoosh out some ink onto your glass mat. I used Macchiato, Phonebook, Cornflower, and Scarlet, and Honeysuckle.

  3. Use an Aqua Brush Pen to pick up some Macchiato Ink and color in the chocolate bunny. Use more water on the side with less shading. Color in the eyes and flower with Cornflower ink. Color in the marshmallow bunny with Phonebook and the flower with Honeysuckle inks.

  4. Fussy cut them out or use a Scan N Cut to cut them out.

  5. Cut down a panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock to 4 x 5.25” and blend some Cornflower Surface Ink up from the bottom third of the panel. I just used some scrap paper to mask off the bottom third. I also used Life-Changing Blending Brushes from Picket Fence. But you can use any blending tools you have on hand.

  6. Using your best handwriting and a Tombow Calligraphy Pen, write in the phrases.

  7. Pop up the bunnies on some foam tape and adhere the panel to the front of an A2 size card base. I use Neenah Solar White Classic Crest.
