October 2023 Anita Jeram Release from Colorado Craft Company

Hey there! Today we are celebrating with a blog hop and giveaway. October’s release features halloween critters decked out in their costumes and lots of festive pumpkins and scenes illustrated by Anita Jeram!! I really enjoyed the dogs in ghostly garb and will show them off today and will share more in a few days!!

I wanted to try a new medium for me, today — colored pencils. I’m not sure I’ve ever done a complete project with just colored pencils, but I sure had fun trying them out.

These are Faber-Castell Polychromos on Hero Arts Granite Cardstock.

I stamped out the little dogs in ghost outfits from “The Bark Side” stamp set with Concord & 9th Black Ink and colored them in with white and purple pencils. Then, I added a moon and clouds to the sky with white, brown and purple pencils.

Then, I colored in the doggos with orange and brown and the pail with purple and yellow pencils.

Next, I added a foreground with the moon casting a shadow in front of the trick-or-treaters.

I stamped a sentiment on the front with VersaFine Black Onyx Ink.

Finally, I trimmed a 1/4 inch off all sides with my Tim Holtz Deckle Trimmer and mounted it on the front of an A2-sized card base with double-sided foam tape.
