Hey there Arties!! I’m happy you have stopped by for the release day blog hop and video for the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero May 2022!
We've cooked up some creativity with the May My Monthly Hero kit release. Join us in the kitchen for a kit made for sharing birthday greetings, friendship, or decorating your baked goodies! The main kit features a gorgeous kitchen-themed Cover Plate die. The A2-sized cling stamp adds a great backsplash to your scene, or is versatile as a background on any project. There are dies for embellishing with pots or adding food, a fun new "cast iron" embossing powder, and messages for your card and gift giving needs. The kit is rounded out with cardstock in colors that give a vintage kitchen vibe, as well as wonderfully theme-appropriate baker's twine.

Project #1 — Hey Good Lookin’
Supplies:
Copic Markers (listed individually in the supplies grid below)
Gemini Jr Die Cutting Machine ($139.99 at Scrapbook dot com)
Watch the Video to See How I Made It!
Project #2 — Add On a Little Piggy
Supplies:
Hero Hues Reactive Inks Fruit Punch, Lemon Drop, Green Apple, and Blue Hawaii
Copic Markers (E13, E15, E18, E29, G04, R81, W7, W9)
Steps for Creating this Card
First die cut the little piggy out of a panel of Dove White cardstock and color it in with Copic markers.
Then, I taped off a section of a panel of Dove White Cardstock with Mint Tape and blended in the Reactive inks in rainbow order with blending brushes.
After removing the tape, I trimmed the panel down a 1/4” on all sides and popped it up on the front of an A2-sized card base.
Next, I popped up my little piggy on the front with foam tape.
Then, I stamped the sentiment in Clear Ink over a piece of Pitch Black cardstock and melted White Detail Embossing Powder over it.
After popping up the sentiment, I finished off the project with some clear enamel dots!
