Hey there Artie! I wanted to pop on to the blog with a monochromatic project with the You Lift Me Up Stamps and Dies. Using a monochromatic palette simplifies your project and brings a unified look to what could be a very complex and busy composition.
Supplies Used to Create this Card
Copy Paper
Steps to Create this Card
With scissors, cut a wavy hill stencil out of copy paper.
Use a blending brush to add different intensities of Emerald Green Ink over a panel of Dove White Cardstock. Move your handmade hill stencil around to reposition the hills on the panel as you go, making the hills in the foreground darker than those in the back.
Stamp your stylized trees and mountains along the tops of the hills and mountains using the handmade hill stencil as a mask. I stamped off the lighter trees first on scrap paper.
Stamp the clouds in the sky with the same ink.
Stamp and die cut the hot air balloon in Emerald Green ink and pop it up on the front of the panel.
Create a sentiment strip with a sentiment from the stamp set, clear ink and White Embossing Powder on Pitch Black cardstock.
Trim your inked up panel down an 1/8” on all sides and pop it up on foam tape over a Dove White Side-folded Card.
Finish off the card with some Clear Enamel Dots.
I hope you enjoyed this little project. I love the monochromatic look. It also makes for an easier project.
