Hey Artie! What’s going on? Well, today, we are celebrating unity with some great new stamp sets from Hero Arts and Pocono Pam and Dana Joy! There’s a great giveaway, too. You can help out by going to Instagram and finding my post with this project in it, following, liking and commenting along the hop.
If you don’t have Instagram, it is a great little app full of eye tacos, as we say in Spanish (taco de ojo).
From the Hero Arts Website:
Who doesn't need a little empowerment? This stamp set is guaranteed to lift the spirits and support everyone on your card making list. Use these uplifting sentiments in cards, journals or small notes for whenever you or someone you love needs a little boost.
Steps for Creating this Empowering Card
To begin, I stamped the American Women wood-mounted stamp image onto some Dove White Cardstock with Intense Black Ink.
Next, I colored the image with Copic markers. For the skin tones, I used E19 through E11 and E59. I used a combination of colors for hair, including BV29 through BV23, E19 through E11, and some BV08, V09, and V06.
After that, I masked off the bottom of the image with Post-It Tape and added some Royal Red ink below it with a blender brush.
Then, I masked the bottom off and darkened a line of Royal Red to create a border.
Next, I stamped the sentiment from the Empowerment Stamp Set with Intense Black Ink.
Then, I stamped the Circular Grid Bold Prints image down on some Cherry Red Cardstock with Royal Red Ink and adhered it to a Dove White Side-folded Card.
Next, I trimmed it down my top panel about a 3/4” on all sides and popped it up on the front of the card front.
To finish off the card, I added some Hero Hues Clear Enamel Dots around the sentiment.
