Helly Artie! Today I have a post up on the Hero Arts Blog featuring the Nativity Coverplate Die. Over there, I used the die in a very straightforward way. The project below shows it deconstructed a bit, to use it in a very different way.
Supplies Used to Create this Card
Gemini Jr Die Cutting Machine (on sale for $139.99 at Scrapbook dot com 11/12/21)
Steps to Create this Card
To create this card, I die cut the Nativity Coverplate out of black Glitter Paper.
Then, I cut the holy family, donkey and sheep images out and glued them to the back of a strip of black Glitter Paper.
Next, I added some Navy Ink in a vignette over the front of a Periwinkle cardstock panel with a blending brush.
After that, I popped up the scene over the Periwinkle panel with some foam tape.
Then, I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Robins stamp set on some Dove White carstock, trimmed it down and popped it up near the bottom of the card panel.
To finish off the card, I added some stars to the night sky with a gold gel pen.
I hope you feel inspired to use your supplies in a new way and stretch them out! Don’t be afraid to cut them apart and rearrange them.
