CASE Me a Christmas Card with Michelle Lupton 2022

Hey there Arties!! Today, I am CASE-ing a card from my friend Michelle Lupton! From October to December, Michelle will link to a series of guest cardmakers on her blog. She will CASE one of their cards, and they will CASE one of hers! CASE stands for either Copy And Share Everything, or Copy And Selectively Edit. It's about getting inspiration from card-making friends, but making a new card that is our own.

Here’s the gorgeous card Michelle created and below is my CASEd version! I love her soft ink application in rainbow order. The cotton look of the clouds requires a super light hand and I went through several panels of cardstock trying to achieve it and still didn’t get it as beautiful as Michelle’s. Just amazing!!

Steps to Create this project

  1. To begin, I brushed some Catherine Pooler inks onto a panel of cardstock with brand new blending brushes through the Clouds for Days Stencil from SSS. I used Sixteen Candles, Oh Boy!, In the Park, Chiffon, Tiara and Do-Si-Do inks.

  2. Then, I die cut an oval infinity die out of the front of another panel and adhered it directly over the stenciled panel.

  3. Next, using Intens-ified Black Ink, I stamped a panda from the Hero Arts Birthday Panda stamp set and die cut it out. I colored the gift with a rainbow of Copic markers.

  4. After that, I stamped the sentiment out and trimmed it down to a strip.

  5. Then, I popped the panda and sentiment up on the front of the card with foam tape.

  6. I finished it all off with some Boiled Sugar Jelly Hearts from Trinity Stamps.
