Del & Artie Live Recap - Simon Hurley Stamping Foam

Hey there Artie!! For Saturday night’s Del & Artie Live we made a ton of backgrounds using Simon Hurley’s Stamping Foam and some of his latest release! It was a hoot experimenting with Simon’s inks and foam and chatting along with all of you.

The stamping foam works like magic to create a mirror image of the stamp or other textured material you press it into.

It keeps its shape until you reheat it, too! So if you get an impression you love, you can keep it.

Another wonderful aspect of this product — it has an easily accessible price point. You can grab 3 or 4 packs for the price of one larger stamp set!

COPIC MARKERS:

Copic markers set the standard for all alcohol-based artist markers. You will find great inventory and personalized customer service at Violeta-Ink. That’s where Del buys his Copic supplies.

I Glove You Card

You can watch the replay if you want detailed instructions on how I made this card, but I will give you the run down here!

  1. Heat your Stamping Foam up and press it into the fence stamp from the Home Run Stamp Set.

  2. Next, ink it up with Overzealous and Remember Me Inks.

  3. Spritz the ink a couple times with a Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer and press the foam block down on an A2-sized panel.

  4. Stamp the boy’s head and body images out on some cardstock with Copic friendly ink. I used Gina K Amalgam Obsidian.

  5. Color in the image with coordinating colors. I used Copic Markers from Violeta-Ink.

  6. Then, fussy cut the image out, trim down your background and pop it all up on the front of an A2-sized cardbase with foam tape.

  7. Stamp out a sentiment with Versamark ink onto some black cardstock, then melt some white embossing powder over it.

  8. Next, trim down the sentiment strip and adhere it to the front of the card with Bearly Art Glue.

  9. To finish off the project, add some dots of Glossy Accents from Ranger.

The Bearly Art Glue Bundle is back in stock at Catherine Pooler!! Woohooo!
