New Tools, Copics and CCC Anita Jeram
Hey there Artie! Inspiration hit last night all of a sudden and I wanted to color. For a few weeks, I’ve had a few new little drawing tools on my desk speaking to me. They are basically for drawing circles and straight lines, but they look super fun. I picked them up at Blick Art Materials here in Providence. More about them in a minute…
The Ever Thine Stamp Set features a few super cute pairs of rodents, and a mix of hand-written sentiments to express your love to someone special. It is available now at CCC.
COPIC MARKERS:
Copic markers set the standard for all alcohol-based artist markers. You will find great inventory and personalized customer service at Violeta-Ink. That’s where Del buys his Copic supplies.
If you missed the last Del & Artie Live, you need a doctor’s note. hehehe. Just kidding, but we did have a lot of fun, as always. You can watch the replay here!
A huge thank you to all who support this channel with your gifts/tips/donations. If you want to know how to donate to sponsor Del & Artie, you may click here!
So, about those new tools. I like to try little gadgets I haven’t played with before and I saw these in the drawing tools section at Blick. They are inexpensive and interesting… one, the Helix Angle and Circle Maker, helps you draw really great circles and line them up on your projects.
The second one is the Westcott Rolling Ruler. It has a great, compact design and can help you get a straight line while rolling down your page. I used them both to create the arches and bridge guard rail in my project.
Mice Night Out on the Town
You know I enjoy modifying scenes and placing stamped images into them. So I made a little night time scene for the Ever Thine mice. They are totally in love and so am I, with this stamp set!
To begin, I stamped out the mice onto some X-Press It Card with Gina K Amalgam Obsidian Ink and colored them in with warm gray Copic markers!
Next, I used the Helix Angle and Circle Maker to create arches on the horizon.
Then, I used the Rolling Ruler to make lines for the bridge, using a fineliner pen.
Next, pick a few colors you want to use for your palette. I went for blues, red, and warm grays.
To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment on the bridge with Gina K Amalgam Ink and added some stars with a white gel pen!
It was really relaxing playing around with these markers and new little tools. I hope you enjoyed this post. If you’re feeling inspired to shop for these supplies, you will find them all linked throughout the post or in the grid below!
Have a super day, my friends!
