They are basically for drawing circles and straight lines, but they look super fun. I picked them up at Blick Art Materials here in Providence. More about them in a minute…

So, about those new tools. I like to try little gadgets I haven’t played with before and I saw these in the drawing tools section at Blick. They are inexpensive and interesting… one, the Helix Angle and Circle Maker, helps you draw really great circles and line them up on your projects.
The second one is the Westcott Rolling Ruler. It has a great, compact design and can help you get a straight line while rolling down your page. I used them both to create the arches and bridge guard rail in my project.

Mice Night Out on the Town
You know I enjoy modifying scenes and placing stamped images into them. So I made a little night time scene for the Ever Thine mice. They are totally in love and so am I, with this stamp set!
To begin, I stamped out the mice onto some X-Press It Card with Gina K Amalgam Obsidian Ink and colored them in with warm gray Copic markers!
Next, I used the Helix Angle and Circle Maker to create arches on the horizon.
Then, I used the Rolling Ruler to make lines for the bridge, using a fineliner pen.
Next, pick a few colors you want to use for your palette. I went for blues, red, and warm grays.
To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment on the bridge with Gina K Amalgam Ink and added some stars with a white gel pen!
