How to Use a Stencil to Within an Inch of Its LIfe

If you want to skip the ready and just watch the video, I don’t blame you. Its easier and funner! LOL Plus you get to hear my Barry White imitation. You decide if I sound like him!

In the video tutorial, I challenge you to see stencils in their parts as well as their whole. How many ways can you turn and use a stencil. I have tried to murder this one, but I’m sure I can still squeeze out some cards with it!

Main Kit Cards

You can make an endless array of cards with just the items in this kit, but I made three with JUST THE KIT!

Here I took the stencil and flipped it to create a reflection in the water below. The Uluru stamp is not Uluru here. I used it for a sea cliff beyond the saltwater crocodile!

This card didn’t make it into the video, but the masking did. On this one, though, I tried adding some shadowing to the grooves in the dunes. The joey was stamped with the shadowing on top by taking off some of the ink with a blender brush. Here, you can also see Uluru on the horizon.

This one I wrote about in the countdown post here!

Add-on Cards

Next, you will see a set of cards that include add-on items for this month!

The first card is actually in the video above. But I loved creating the background for it. The Fancy Die is called, “Nature Border Fancy Die with Frame.”

This one was created with the Protea Flowers and Frame Cuts, accompanied with a background I created in the video!

This trio of Roos is a layering stamp set called, “Layering Joey” and has coordinating Frame Cuts.

These little guys come from the Bandicoot and Friends Stamp Set and Frame Cuts.

The next three cards, incorporate the stencil from the main kit and the “Pattern Animals Stamp Set” with Frame Cuts.

For the Patterned Animals, I stamped the Koala in just Intensified Black Ink. The Croc and Roo I stamped in different colors, inking up portions of each stamp and taping the edges of the ink with a blender brush so the inks would blend in a gradient!

THANK YOU!

Thank you sincerely for joining on my blog today and for hanging out with the whole team hopping together. Below you will find a grid of supplies if you would like to shop for the items in this release.
