Simon Says Stamp Make Merry Release Blog Hop - Day 2 + Giveaway

Hey there Artie!! Welcome to the Simon Says Stamp Make Merry Release Blog Hop - Day 2! Woot Woot!!!

This week has thrilled the whole SSS Creative Family. How exciting to hop along with everyone for Day 2 of the hops!! Thursday night, on Del & Artie Live, I colored in some poinsettia images from Simon Says Stamp called CENTER CUT HOLIDAY FLORAL.

You can watch the coloring sped up here!

The Center Cut Holiday Floral Stamp features a gorgeous poinsettia bouquet with a center circle with an interchangeable pop out sentiment!! I created two cards with this stamp as my focal point.

Card #1 is the Colored Pencil on Dard Cardstock

You can watch the video for details on this cards creation. Here is a list of supplies I used to create it:

  1. Center Cut Holiday Floral Stamp

  2. Black Copic Marker

  3. White Polychromos Pencil

  4. Light Ultramarine Polychromos Pencil

  5. Navy Cardstock

  6. Versamark Ink

  7. Gamsol

  8. Watercolor Brush

  9. Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder

  10. Anti-static powder

  11. Scor-pal

  12. Teflon Bone Folder

  13. Tim Holtz Guillotine Trimmer

First, clear heat-embossed the image on the dark blue cardstock. Then, I added black Copic marker to the shadows and blended blue and white colored pencils over the edges. I stamped the peace center and heat embossed it with some light blue embossing powder.

To finish off the card, I added some Boiled Sugar Jelly Hearts with liquid adhesive.

Card #2 - Full Color Card

To create this card, i stamped the image in Intensified Black Ink. Then, I colored it in with red, green and yellow Copic markers. You can use the Altenew Artist Markers, instead. All the colors you need come in one set for a fraction of the cost of Copics.

I used a 3.5” x 8.5” slimline card I created out of Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 110lb cardstock.

After coloring everything, I used a blender brush and the Mega Deco Stencil from the Make Merry Release to add a green accent on the right two-thirds of the card.

I finished it off with more of the Boiled Sugar embellishments.

Here are the supplies I used to create the Full Color Card.

  1. Center Cut Holiday Floral Stamp

  2. Red, Green and Yellow Alcohol Markers

  3. Blender Brush

  4. Fresh Lawn Ink

  5. Boiled Sugar Embellishments

  6. Scor-pal

  7. Teflon Bone Folder

  8. Tim Holtz Guillotine Trimmer
