Hey there, Artie!! It’s Del! Exciting times here at Del & Artie, Colorado Craft Company has a huge blog hop sharing the reveal for June 2021.
I’ll also be sharing some projects tonight (6/13/21) on Del & Artie live at 9PM EDT.
List of Supplies!
Steps for Creating this Card
First, I wet the middle portion of an A2-sized piece of cold press watercolor paper with water, using my 3/4” brush.
Then, I dropped in some Payne’s Blue-Gray watercolor and let it spread across the wet paper.
I subtracted a bit of the ink in a large circle to create a moon, dabbing it with a dry cloth. This keeps the paper moist and prevents harsh lines from forming.
Next, I dropped in some Jadeite watercolor along the bottom and edges to give the impression of a faint tree line.
Then, I dried the panel with a heat tool and ran the panel through my Gemini Jr to flatten it.
After that, I added some Posca White Paint Marker to the painting in a large circle for the moon and some small dots for the stars.
I stamped the tree and fox image onto some Dove White Cardstock with Hero Arts Intensified Black Ink.
Then, I colored it in with Copic Markers. I buy my markers and refills from Violeta-Ink. They have the BEST prices anywhere.
Next, I stamped and die-cut the image, and popped it up on foam tape.
Then, I stamped the sentiment with the same ink.
Next, I trimmed the panel down a 1/4” on each side and adhered it to the front of an A2-sized card base with Fun Foam and Precision Glue from Hero Arts.
To finish the card off, I glued down some Jelly Drop Hearts from Trinity Stamps.
