Colorado Craft Company June 2021 Reveal + Giveaway

Steps for Creating this Card

  1. First, I wet the middle portion of an A2-sized piece of cold press watercolor paper with water, using my 3/4” brush.

  2. Then, I dropped in some Payne’s Blue-Gray watercolor and let it spread across the wet paper.

  3. I subtracted a bit of the ink in a large circle to create a moon, dabbing it with a dry cloth. This keeps the paper moist and prevents harsh lines from forming.

  4. Next, I dropped in some Jadeite watercolor along the bottom and edges to give the impression of a faint tree line.

  5. Then, I dried the panel with a heat tool and ran the panel through my Gemini Jr to flatten it.

  6. After that, I added some Posca White Paint Marker to the painting in a large circle for the moon and some small dots for the stars.

  7. I stamped the tree and fox image onto some Dove White Cardstock with Hero Arts Intensified Black Ink.

  8. Then, I colored it in with Copic Markers. I buy my markers and refills from Violeta-Ink. They have the BEST prices anywhere.

  9. Next, I stamped and die-cut the image, and popped it up on foam tape.

  10. Then, I stamped the sentiment with the same ink.

  11. Next, I trimmed the panel down a 1/4” on each side and adhered it to the front of an A2-sized card base with Fun Foam and Precision Glue from Hero Arts.

  12. To finish the card off, I glued down some Jelly Drop Hearts from Trinity Stamps.
