Hey there!! Thanks for joining us on the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Blog Hop, today! We all made Artist Trading Cards to show off our favorite styles. I made two for you, with some of the new products from June and one of my favorite older stamps from B|M.
To get started, I created two different backgrounds with Aqua Pigments. I didn’t know where this was going to take me. I find it fun to make a background and imagine what it looks like. For the first one, I used red, yellow and fuchsia Aqua Pigments. I just dropped some out on my glass mat and dipped my paper into it. Then, because impatience runs in the family, I took a heat tool to it to dry it!
It looked like the sun peaking through a red sky, to me, so I grabbed the Spiral Cloud Stamp and stamped it out in Rouge Surface Ink. Then, to light up the tops of the clouds, I pulled out my favorite white pigment ink, Alabaster, and colored in the tops of the clouds with an Aqua Brush Pen. Its really easy to squeeze a few drops of this ink onto your craft mat using the reinker.
Then, i added some alcohol marker coloring to darken the bottoms of the clouds. I stamped the sentiment, “Shine On,” from the String Lights Stamp Set using Raven Detail ink.
I finished off this ATC with some Lemon Drop Dream embellishments from Trinity Stamps.
For my second ATC, I followed the exact same process, with Red and Fuchsia Aqua Pigment, the Rose Garden Stamp, Alabaster embossing powder and Boiled Sugar embellishments.
