A big hello to all my friends celebrating the Welcome Home February 2019 release from Catherine Pooler Designs by blog hopping today. Daniel West here with a few cards to highlight the whimsical designs of this beautiful collection of stamps and dies.

For my first card, I used the fan-shaped cobblestones from the Strolling Borders Stamps Set to make a rainbow background. From left the right the colors include Midnight, Grape Crush, Suede Shoes, Grass Stain, Tiki Torch, Orange Twist, Samba and Rockin’ Red.

I stamped the sentiments from the Awesome and Wonderful Stamps Set in Midnight ink on the bottom right of the card panel. Then I heat embossed the cursive ‘awesome’ stamp with white embossing powder.

I trimmed the panel down to 4 x 5.25” and popped it up on to an A2 card base with some foam tape.

• Inks used: Midnight, Grape Crush, Suede Shoes, Grass Stain, Tiki Torch, Orange Twist, Samba and Rockin’ Red.

• Paper: White

• Other: White Embossing Powder, Clear Embossing Ink

For my second card, I used some watercolor paper and liquid watercolors to make an orange, yellow and pink background. I dropped the liquid watercolor out on my work surface and dragged my watercolor cardstock through it a few times and let it dry. Then I stamped the Cottage Garden Background Stamp onto the panel using Midnight Ink. I trimmed it down to a belly band for the front of my card and stamped one of the most beautiful hello sentiments I’ve ever seen from the Happy Place Stamps Set on the front of my A2 sized card base with Midnight Ink.

• Stamps used: Cottage Garden Background Stamp, Happy Place Stamps Set

• Inks used: Midnight

• Paper: White

• Other: Watercolor Pape, Liquid Watercolor
