Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Blog Hop - Color Crush 2

Hey there!! Welcome to my post fo the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Blog Hop: Color Crush 2. This week the team gathers inspiration from a color palette Marie Heiderscheit gave us. If you have all the Surface Inks, they’d go in order like this: Boutique, Plum, Night Sky, Fountain, Sea and Speckled Egg.

I used Distress Inks for my project in Dusty Concord, Salty Ocean, and Cracked PIstachio. Ink blending allows you to form a gradient of color even when you only have a few of the inks on hand.

To begin, I masked off a section of an A2 sized card with tape and laid the B|M Stencil of the Month over the tope. The stencil this month is a beautiful bold lace pattern. I have been using it on everything! I’m telling you, I’d powder pancakes with this stencil!!

Then, using the Life-changing Blending Brushes from Picket Fence, I blended the ink from the right to the left green to violet. I love how the green of Cracked Pistachio changes the Salty Ocean to a color very close to Peacock Feathers.

I removed the stencil and tape to reveal a beautiful result! Then I took out the Super Sentimental Stamp Set from B|M and chose the “Sent with Love.” This stamp set is chock full of great sentiments in whimsical designs for a ton of occasions. You may want to buy it before anything else, if you don’t already have it. I stamped it with B|M Raven Detail Ink in the bottom corner of my card base.

That’s it for this card. Clean and Simple does it! I have a list of items I used below if you have been inspired to purchase any of these supplies. Please hop along to see what my teammates have created!! Their projects are gorgeous!!
