Hero Arts March 2022 My Monthly Hero Countdown to Creativity

Hey there Artie! It’s Del! Today we’re joining Hero Arts’ Countdown to Creativity, showing off some peeks at the March 2022 My Monthly Hero Card Kit.

The March 2022 My Monthly Hero kit takes us to the Museum of Fine Art. You’ll see a lot of inspiration based on some of the greatest artists in history — Monet, Picasso, and more.

I hope you have enjoyed the countdown so far and you are ready to shop when this kit and add-ons go live on Monday, March 7, at 1PM Eastern.

Throughout my post, I will use affiliate links in the photos and hyperlinks. These links let the websites know I sent you their way. For this referral, I receive a percentage of your total purchase price at no additional cost to you. I appreciate your support of my creative efforts.

Supplies:

  1. My Monthly Hero Card Kit - March 2022 (link takes you to the Hero website.)

  2. Embossing & Watermark Clear Ink

  3. Black Embossing Powder

  4. White Detail Embossing Powder

  5. Colors of Earth Paper

  6. Copic Markers (find the list in the grid below)

  7. Pitch Black Cardstock

  8. Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool

  9. Dove White Cardstock

  10. Spellbinders Platinum 6

  11. MISTI Stamping Tool

  12. Precision Glue

  13. Heat Tool

  14. Foam Tape (the old 3M formula you can tear available here)

Step-by-step Instructions

  1. First, I die cut the window die from the kit out of Dove White Cardstock.

  2. Then, I colored it in with Copic markers — E11-E18, C6, C4, C9, E49, B97, B93. Tomorrow on my YouTube channel, I’ll color the die cut in with Copics.

  3. Next, I trimmed down that panel an 1/8th inch on all sides.

  4. After that, I trimmed down some strips of the Colors of Earth Paper and adhered them to the front of an A2-sized card base.

  5. Then, I stamped the splash images from the kit onto the front of the strips with Clear Embossing and Watermark Ink then melted Black and White embossing powder over them in turn.

  6. Next, I popped up the main die cut over the front of the card base with foam tape.

  7. To finish off the card, I created a sentiment strip with Pitch Black Cardstock, Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink, and White Detail Embossing Powder. I fussy cut it out and popped it up over the front of the card with foam tape.

I hope you enjoyed this little peek at March’s My Monthly Hero Card Kit! There is so much more to see, so keep your eyes peeled all the inspiration from this weekend. Below you will find a grid of supplies I used. I appreciate you using my affiliate links when you shop. It let’s Hero Arts and the other companies I design for know that I sent you their way!
