Simon Says Stamp -- Hey Bestie Release
Hey there Artie! Great to see you on the blog today for the Simon Says Stamp Hey Bestie Release.
For this release, I received a fantastic set of tag dies called, CZ Design Wafer Dies NESTED TAGS. Ha! Just the week before, I was lamenting not having a set of dies for tags that were just like the CZ HO HO HO Tag, but solid. So, I bought the SSS Large Wafer Tags Set. When I saw these come in the mail, I was so excited, mostly, because they were designed by Cathy Z, whom I adore, but also because they are perfect and include small hole reinforcers.
You will notice in my project that I did not use the reinforcers, and they were sitting right there on my desk, die cut and everything. But I realized it too late for publishing time. So here are the tags I created with this fantastic set.
To begin, I sat and ran these tags through my Gemini Jr creating several copies of each one. Then, I had a ball. I got to know the sizes and what could fit on them well. I created a bunch of duds and some I kinda liked, then, I settled on a set of tags I made with the Monogram Heart Stamp Set from Concord & 9th. It’s no longer available from C9, but you can it from ebay at that link.
I stamped out the Monogram Heart Image and filled it in in different ways, then, I ran the design through the die cutting machine with a corresponding tag die.
I masked off some lines and sections with Post-It Masking Tape (which I can no longer live without). I even embossed some of the sections with Gilded Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe.
The inks are Catherine Pooler’s Peppermint Scrub, Daydream, Skylight, Eucalyptus and Spruce.
You can write your own, to and from on the inside of the heart, or stamp another sentiment there. I love the sentiments and stamps from Concord & 9th’s Little Love Tags Stamp Set for this, as well.
I hope you’re able to shop the whole release tonight. It’s absolutely fantastic! Here’s a grid of my favorite offerings in the Hey Bestie Release!
