WOW! Embossing Powder & Catherine Pooler Hop | Forever 13 + Giveaway
Hey there, Artie! Catherine Pooler and WOW! Embossing Powder have teamed up again to create a great new trio of embossing powders called Forever 13: Grape Crush, Be Mine and All That Jazz. So we decided to celebrate with a blog hop.
We will be using some fabulous new products from both Catherine Pooler Designs & WOW! Embossing Powders stores.
SUPPLIES
I created two projects for the hop using the Forever 13 release along with the trio. But here is a list of supplies I used for both cards:
Inks:
Embossing Powders:
Stamps & Dies from the Totally Rad Bundle:
Cardstock:
Card 1 - I Love How You Roll
For my first card, I applied one of each of the inks to 1/4” strips of cardstock. Then, I heat embossed the corresponding embossing powder from the trio to each strip. I trimmed down one 1/8” black strip and then glued them all to the front of the card panel.
Next, I created some patterned paper of my own, using the heart from the Let the Good Times Roll Stamp Set. I stamped them out a few times in each color and added Clear Sparkle Embossing Powder using a glue pen and a heat tool. Then, I trimmed it down and adhered it below the black strip.
Next, I die cut some stars and pressed them into my All That Jazz ink pad. I stamped and die cut the roller skates, then Copic colored them with matching blue-green, pink and purple. Then, I adhered the skates and stars in an arrangement over the strips.
To finish off the card, I trimmed the panel down to 4 x 5.25” and popped it up on the front of an A2-sized card base with fun foam and Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.
Card 2: Hey There
My second card has a similar set up and all the same colors. I created my own colored cardstock again with the same inks, but this time, I added a white strip in between them and adhered them at an angle on the front of my card base.
Next, I stamped and heat-embossed the At The Rink 6 x 6 Background Stamp with the WOW! All That Jazz EP. I trimmed it down and adhered it above the stripes. Then, I die cut the “hey there” die out of black cardstock three times and stacked them together. Then, I adhered the sentiment onto some white cardstock and fussy-cut around it, leaving a white border.
Next, I stamped and die-cut and colored the rainbow, stars and heart and arranged it all on the front of the card base with Nuvo Delux Adhesive.
Thank you so much for joining me and all my friend on the hop today. If you have been inspired to pick up some of these supplies, I would thank you for using my affiliate links to support my artistic efforts at no additional cost to you.
