Y’all know me, that I go for handmade over precut stickers and die-cut ephemera. I love to create my own color schemes and background papers. BUT! I have to say, this kit helped me put together some beautiful projects in minutes, as opposed to hours!! All the colors coordinate right out of the box. All of the items have the same feel, so they pair together well. The sizes fit perfectly on A2-sized cards, of which you receive 10 bases and 10 envelopes!
I created four projects with the kit this month. They each have their own character, even if they are cut from the same cloth!
For my first card, I stamped out a section of eggs from the stamp set using pastel colors and added highlights with Copic markers to each egg. I placed one of the precut egg stickers with a popped up piece of ephemera on its front to the left. A flower to the right with another egg in front and some greenery tucked in around the egg added to the scene. To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment, Happy Easter in green, then black, just a bit offset on the word ‘easter’.
For my second card, I used the oval scalloped frame die in the kit to cut out a frame from the blue-striped pattern paper in the kit. I did the same with the gold metallic cardstock. I adhered the striped frame to the front of one of the card bases and then added pieces around the bottom and center in gold and blue.
For my third card, I die-cut several pieces of gold cardstock with the flower dies in the kit. I cut the hip hop hooray dies out of white cardstock three times and stacked them for dimension, then coloring them with a blue violet Copic marker. I did the same with the bunny ears and colored the center of the ears with blue violet and red violet Copics. I trimmed a piece of the green patterned paper down to a wide strip and adhered it to the front of a card base. Then, I adhered everything to the front with strong liquid adhesive.
For my last card, I LOVED the gold embossed sheets of cardstock in the kit, so I used one of them for the background of this card. I took the gold frame outside from the 2nd card above and adhered it to the front of the card base. Then, I used the inside striped oval from the 2nd card and made it the inside of the frame. Then, I took some more of the ephemera and made a floral arrangement with a popped up banner along the left and center of the card.
This kit costs $38.50 and includes shipping when you subscribe! This seems like a fantastic bargain for all that you receive. Plus, members get store savings, extra deals, gifts, and more. Click Here to learn more about club membership.
